About Karen
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Mercyhurst College and has been in the architectural and design industry for 33 years. Karen is a highly motivated sales and design professional with a strong desire to succeed. She takes great pride in the relationships and expertise that she has cultivated in the industry.
Karen purchased Basic Concept Interiors in February 2024 and is currently the Principal and Sole Owner of the company. She is working toward becoming a Small Women Owned Business. Karen also owns TMG Associates, an Interior Design and Procurement Firm that is also a multi-line manufacturers rep group that supplies interior solutions to the hospitality and corporate office industries. Her diverse background has embodied her to manage large projects across the United States, which has led her to where she is today as the sole owner of two companies.
Karen has extensive knowledge of contract negotiations, business marketing and construction knowledge. She is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the business including managing projects, budgeting, ensuring compliance with regulations, finding new clients, hiring and managing staff, and making strategic decisions to ensure the company's growth and profitability. Essentially, Karen is responsible for every aspect of the construction company from planning to execution and financial health.
